There’s a lot of numbers and logistics to take care of here, so let’s get started with our Airlines Manager: Tycoon cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide!Īlways double check the clearance number! With our Airlines Manager: Tycoon cheats and tips, you’ll be able to fly the friendly skies with ease.ĭon’t be fooled by the mobile platform, as Airlines Manager: Tycoon is a tried and true super deep simulation game. Remember – just like you learned in the tutorial – each airport hub and aircraft have clearance numbers. These numbers determine which aircraft can land at that hub, and you need to make sure that your numbers check out. Double check those clearance numbers to ensure you don’t waste any money! Airport hubs can only accommodate up to and below their clearance number, and there’s nothing worse than purchasing a new aircraft only to find out it won’t be able to fly to your current hubs. When it comes to purchasing new aircraft, you have three different options. SH or Short-haul, MH or Medium-haul, and LH or Long-haul. As you can probably guess these refer to the distance these planes are best suited for travelling. Longer flights require a lot of pre-planning and are generally more expensive than the shorter flights, which usually mean they’re a lot more riskier too. While there is potential for a big turnaround in profits, it’s much safer to stick to SH and some MH flights early on. You can make back what you spend during the tutorial in a semi-short time, assuming you’re playing the sped up mode.Īnother important aspect of buying aircraft is the option to purchase or lease. Again, this usually only applies to the early stages of the game, but leasing is almost always the better option. When you lease a plane you get to use it like normal, but you can’t customize the interior design. You won’t have to pay the full price upfront, but you have to pay the deposit and a weekly rental fee. However, going off of our previous tip, if you’re smart with SH flights you should be able to make up the costs to turn over a net profit. Services are split into four categories: Partnership, Infrastructure, On-board Services, and Airport Services. Each category has different quality of life upgrades that can improve your airlines’ service for your customers. You’ll need to research in your R&D laboratory before you can use any of these services though. These services will grant you bonuses to various stats. ![]() It’s important to keep in mind that these additional services aren’t always flat bonuses sometimes you’ll be trading in a certain stat for another. For example, in Infrastructure you can change how Check-in is handled. You can opt for to share a check-in counter with a competing airline which will give you -5 to expenses. Or, you can decide to use an automatic check-in kiosk that makes it easier for your customers (+10 comfort) but more expensive upfront because you need to buy and maintain the kiosks (+5 expenses). Knowing your options and covering what you’re lacking in is a great way to approach this.
